Paris Saint-Germain are preparing to fill the void left by Kylian Mbappé’s departure in the coming weeks. With the French star heading to Real Madrid, a new candidate has emerged to take his place.

The PSG standout scored 44 goals and registered 10 assists in 47 appearances across all competitions this season. As a result, the Ligue 1 giants need to fill a giant offensive hole, and one player might not be able to do it alone.

One player that the French giants are keen on is Olympique Lyonnais sensation Rayan Cherki. Sports Zone reports that the Parisians have returned to take the temperature regarding the 20-year-old’s situation.

Sporting advisor Luis Campos appreciates the player and could be the second player in two summers that PSG attempts to pluck a young talent from Lyon after securing Bradley Barcola last summer.

Nonetheless, the Parisians aren’t alone, as Borussia Dortmund, Newcastle United, Borussia Mönchengladbach, and other English clubs are also closely following Lyon’s talent with the summer transfer window opening in a few weeks.

Cherki has appeared in 38 matches for OL this season, scoring three goals and registering eight assists.
