Juventus ultras continue to show their support for Max Allegri after the coach was fired, including an amusing banner and chants after a nightmare start for Paolo Montero.

Allegri had for some time been an object of contention within the Juve world, as while the ultras were passionately backing him and wanted his contract extended beyond June 2025, many of the less hardline fans were eager for a change of management.

He was sacked this week after his antics in the Coppa Italia Final against Atalanta were considered ‘incompatible with the values’ of the club.

That included ripping off his jacket, his tie and then unbuttoning his shirt while screaming at the fourth official, then getting into a blazing row with the editor of Tuttosport.

Juventus ultras still love Allegri

So for tonight’s trip to Bologna, the Viking group of Juventus ultras held up a banner referencing the incident.

“There is nobody like you, Allegri for us you are Number 1” it read, with drawings of the coach and his various items of clothing.

When interim manager Montero had a disastrous start to his experience, trailing 2-0 in Bologna after 11 minutes, some of the ultras in the crowd also started singing the chants for Allegri.

It is widely believed that the coach at Juve next season will be the current Bologna boss, Thiago Motta.
